The University of California Riverside presents its Third Annual Symposium for Research Scholarship and Creative Activity, May 7 & 8, 2009 in the UCR Student Commons.

The Southern California Conference on Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) has not yet announced when or where its conference for 2009 will be held.

The purpose of SCCUR is to celebrate undergraduate research and scholarship in the variety of disciplines and types of institutions in the region. The conference fosters appreciation of the valuable role these creative activities play in complementing other aspects of undergraduate education.

The 34th Annual West Coast Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference
The primary purpose of the West Coast Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference is to provide a forum for undergraduate students to present the results of their original research in the biological sciences to like-minded peers and faculty. The interactions among these students and faculty members, who actively involved in promoting undergraduate research at their institutions, are a natural result of this gathering.

UCLA Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference
Undergraduate students from colleges and universities in California are invited to present research conducted in the field of Psychology such as Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical, Cognitive, Cross-Cultural, Developmental, Forensic, Health, Measurement, Personality, Social Psychology, or other related Behavioral Sciences in paper or poster sessions.

Mercury Conference In Undergraduate Computational Chemistry
This conference is a great opportunity for undergraduates to learn about the breadth of research in computational chemistry, particularly in interdisciplinary topics, and to discuss their work with other undergraduate computational chemists as well as some leaders in the field. For faculty, this conference will be an opportunity to generate a network of computational chemists who work with undergraduates, fostering collaboration and developing a sense of community in the field.

The Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science National Conference
SACNAS is committed to promoting graduate science education for Chicano/Latino, Native American, and other underrepresented minority students. In addition to administering several grants and summer programs, SACNAS holds an annual conference where educators, scientists, graduate and undergraduate students all make presentations. This year is their 30th anniversary celebration. The conference encompasses a wide variety of topics, as students and scientists from all science disciplines attend. There are also seminars on graduate school and medical school, which may be particularly helpful to undergraduate students.

AISES National Conference
For almost 30 years, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society has hosted a three-day event, which includes a career fair, dynamic speakers, panel discussions, and workshops for students, faculty and professionals.

Sigma Xi Student Research Conference
The Sigma Xi Student Research Conference is held each year in conjunction with the Society's Annual Meeting. Undergraduate students from North America and abroad are invited to submit abstracts to Sigma Xi for participation in the conference. Students' present research posters, attend career development workshops, and participate in mentoring and networking activities, panel discussions, and other events during the four-day conference. Monetary prizes are generally awarded to first place recipients.

The American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB)

National Conference on Undergraduate Research
The mission of the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR®) is to promote undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity done in partnership with faculty or other mentors as a vital component of higher education. CUR National Conference
The Council on Undergraduate Research is a national professional organization that encourages the development of undergraduate research programs by generating awareness and national support. The Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at the University of California, San Diego
The Center for Comparative Immigration Studies (at UCSD), an interdisciplinary research unit focusing on the study of international migration, is seeking participants for its Undergraduate Research Conference, to take place at UC San Diego. We are asking faculty and staff in all departments to nominate exemplary undergraduate students who have conducted independent research (i.e. independent study, honors theses, etc) on international migration or refugee movements. Students may present research on any aspect of migration and its consequences for sending and receiving countries.
